The case relating to the murder of Periyar Dravidar
Kazhagam district convener T. Palanisamy on July 5 this year was on
Wednesday committed to a sessions court for trial.
The case was transferred to the District Sessions Court in Krishnagiri from the court of the Judicial Magistrate II.
Communist
Party of India MLA from Thally T. Ramachandran, his brother T.
Varadarajan, father-in-law Laghumiah and some others are among the 25
accused in the case.
All of them were brought from the Central Prison in Salem and produced before the Judicial Magistrate on Wednesday afternoon.
Ten
more cases relating to threat to murder, assault and illegal granite
mining against the MLA and other are pending in the Magistrate’s court.
