Stalin to open Samathuvapuram near Bargur

Deputy Chief Minister will distribute assistance to 18,905 beneficiaries

KRISHNAGIRI: Deputy Chief Minister Stalin will inaugurate a new Samathuvapuram at Sakkilnatham village, near Bargur, built at a cost of over Rs. 1.56 crore in 7.93 acres. The construction of houses began on December 7, 2008.

This is the fourth Samathuvapuram in the district. The others are Ginnikampatti in Pochampalli taluk, Nallur in Hosur taluk and Kattinayanapalli in Krishnagiri taluk. Mr. Stalin will open new buildings constructed at a cost of Rs. 35.50 crore and lay foundation stones for 311 schemes to be implemented at a cost of Rs. 43.48 crore.

He will distribute welfare assistance to 18,905 beneficiaries through various government departments.

That apart, he will also unveil a new building for the District Police Office built at a cost of Rs. 3.25 crore and a multi-purpose indoor stadium at the District Sports Stadium in Krishnagiri.

Mr. Stalin will give Rs. 50.43 crore as loan, revolving fund to 2,443 groups and economic assistance to 620 people.
