child marriages stopped

In Krishnagiri district, on information by Village Administrative Officer Aasaithambi, Uthangarai Tahsildhar Subramaniyam instructed officials to enquire about the marriage arranged for the daughter of Palaniammal in Padapalli on Thursday.

Uthangarai Sub-Inspector Gnanasekaran and Zonal Deputy Tahsildhar Govindaraj held talks with Palaniammal following which the marriage was stopped.
