Third year undergraduate students of the Government Arts
College for Men staged a road blockade on Tuesday morning demanding
free laptops. As many as 80 students squatted on the Bangalore-Chennai
National Highways demanding the authorities to issue laptops
immediately.
The college principal tried to pacify
the students. Krishnagiri Tahsildhar Maheshwaran and Inspector Anbumani
reached the college and held talks with the students.
The students said that if they were provided laptops it would be useful for them for project work.
