Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural
Development, Prisons, Law and Justice K.P. Munusamy gave away milch cow
along with calf to the priests of 13 temples, where one-time pooja was
performed here.
At a function held at the
Venkatramanaswamy Temple in Kanavaipatti near Krishnagiri on Saturday,
the Minister said that the scheme was conceived by the Chief Minister to
improve the livelihood of the priests who were performing one-time
pooja in the temples. The Minister also gave away Rs. 6 six lakh for
renovation of 12 temples including six temples in Adi Dravidar Colonies.
Collector T.P. Rajesh presided over the function.
