Justice M.M. Sundaresh of Madras High Court and
Portfolio Judge for the district inaugurated an additional sessions
court in Hosur and a sub-court in Uthangarai on Saturday in the presence
of Minister for Municipal Administration, Rural Development, Prisons,
Law and Justice K.P. Munusamy.
On the occasion,
Justice Sundaresh said that considering the high number of cases pending
in Hosur, one more Judicial Magistrate court and munsif court were
needed. Mr. Munusamy said that as many as 105 new courts were
established after the AIADMK Government came to power.
The number of courts inaugurated in the district had gone up to seven including the two inaugurated on Saturday.
V.
Yuvaraj, Member, Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry, demanded
early construction of the proposed advocates’ chambers in Krishnagiri
and Hosur.
L. Yousif Ali, Principal and District Sessions Judge, presided over the functions.
