The Tamil Nadu Government Employees Association (TNGEA)
staged hunger strikes in Hosur, Denkanikottai , Krishnagiri and
Dharmapuri district on Tuesday demanding regularisation of services of
noon meal, anganwadi workers and panchayat secretaries.
Hundreds of cadre of TNGEA participated in the demonstrations held in front of the Krishangiri taluk office.
In
Hosur, the hunger strike was inaugurated by C.P. Jayaraman, District
Secretary of TNGEA and was presided over by P. Perumal, Taluk Secretary.
The
hunger strike in Denkanikottai was inaugurated by TNGEA’s district
secretary R. Nagarajan and presided over by the District Executive
Committee Member S. Chinnappan.
K. Agoram, State Vice President of TNGEA addressed at the demonstration in front of the taluk office in Krishnagiri.
The
agitation was presided over V. Ramasamy, Taluk President and
inaugurated by District Joint Secretary K. Srinivasulu, TNGEA sources
said.
